Co-founder of 4 Ward Development, Janet has over 37 years of experience in HR and personnel development. After spending 15 years as HR Director for two high-profile international firms, Janet started her own consultancy in 1995 and quickly established a client base that included BBC Wales, the Welsh Development Agency and Welsh Assembly Government.

Overseeing many successful HR projects involving large workforces, her notable achievements include implementing a management development programme for 30 senior managers at BBC Wales which was subsequently rolled out across the UK due to its success.

Janet’s areas of expertise include industrial law, performance management, EC legislation, working time directives and health and safety and she is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD). Since starting 4ward Development, retaining all of her former clients, she has delivered outsourced HR work for new clients including Magstim, who are pioneers in nerve stimulation and monitoring equipment, and international marine specialists Harris Pye.

Jan is a mother and grandmother and in her rare spare time her hobbies include reading, music and spending quality time with her family.
